NC DHHS Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen to Speak at League of Women Voters Event
RALEIGH, NC, September 14, 2017 - The League of Women Voters of Wake County’s Timely Topics luncheon will feature Dr. Mandy Cohen, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The luncheon is at the NCSU University Club on Friday, September 29th at noon. This event is open to the public, and the $20 ticket includes lunch. Since being appointed as Secretary of the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, Dr. Mandy Cohen and her team have worked to improve the health, safety, and well-being of North Carolinians. Among her top priorities are combating the opioid crisis, building a strong, efficient Medicaid program, and improving early childhood education.
