BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATE FORUM FOR EASTERN WAKE DISTRICTS 1 & 3 HOSTED BY COALITION OF NONPARTISAN ORGANIZATIONS

Wake County voters will have an opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for seats on the Board of Education representing districts 1 and 3 in Eastern Wake County. Former Wake Board of Education member Lori Millburg will moderate the forum. East-Wake Television will broadcast the event.

EVENT: Wake County Board of Education Candidate Forum – Districts 1 & 3

DATE: Thursday, October 4th

TIME: 7:00pm – 9:00pm

LOCATION: Malaby’s Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church, 911 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC

MODERATOR: Lori Millburg, former Board of Education member

The League of Women Voters of Wake County, WakeUP Wake County, the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, and the Raleigh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. have joined together to help residents learn about the offices and candidates that will appear on their ballot for the election on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. This inclusive coalition emphasizes the importance of civic engagement for all residents in determining Wake County’s future and encourages voter participation during early voting and on November 6.
