  • When: Thursday, May 10th at 4:30pm

  • Where: League Office

  • Cost: FREE (This is a members-only workshop)

The League's Observer Corps is dedicated to promoting government transparency and accountability. LWV-Wake Observer Corps members attend government meetings, and report on issues that might concern the League. Having League members visibly in attendance at government meetings helps ensure that government meetings are conducted in the open and encourages the accountability of public officials.

Observer Corps members simply sit and observe a meeting. This is an excellent activity for any member interested in watching their government in action, wanting to learn about governmental processes, or looking for an easy volunteer activity. This training session will review the guidelines for observing meetings on behalf of the League. You must be a League member to be part of our Observer Corps.
