Let's go nuts! November is pecan pickin' season at Oak View Park. This 27-acre farm offers educational, agricultural, and recreational activities. League members will enjoy a one-hour tour of the 1855 farmhouse, detached kitchen, livestock barn, carriage house, and turn-of-the-century cotton gin to learn about the changing face of farm life from the mid-19th century until today. Afterwards, we'll be given a paper bag to fill with pecans from the 100-year-old pecan trees.

Join fellow Leaguers for lunch beforehand at 12:30pm at Big Ed's in downtown Raleigh's historic City Market. (220 Wolfe Street, Raleigh, NC 27601)
