Field Trip - Women's Suffrage in Wake County

Members-Only Event!! Join a group of fellow Leaguers for a tour of the City of Raleigh Museum. Museum Director Ernie Dollar will lead the tour highlighting women's suffrage in Wake County. The tour includes the museum's current exhibits -- The People's Politics: Local Democracy in Raleigh and You Really Stuck It to Me Today: The Political Cartoons of Dwane Powell.

Following the tour, the group will walk one block to the Wake County Board of Elections to learn about its basic functions and ask questions of BOE Director Gary Sims or a staff member. For those who would like to continue the discussion and socialize over lunch, the group will end the field trip at Garland downtown.
