Candidate Forum for Cary Town Council April 21 Sponsored by League of Women Voters, NAACP, NCAAT and WakeUp Wake County
RALEIGH, NC, April 6, 2022 – The League of Women Voters of Wake County is pleased to sponsor a forum for candidates running for Cary Town Council. Event co-sponsors include the NAACP, NCAAT and WakeUp Wake County. All co-sponsors are nonpartisan and do not endorse candidates.
- What: Forum for Cary Town Council candidates
- When: April 21, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
- Where: Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 Walnut Street, Cary. Masks are currently recommended to be worn inside the venue, but this policy could change by the forum date.
- Cost: FREE
Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions at the event. The event will be recorded and made available on the League of Women Voters of Wake County’s website (lwvwake.org) through May 18.
Marian Lewin, Director of Voter Services, notes, “The League encourages Cary residents to vote in the upcoming municipal election. Forums like this are a great way for voters to find out more about the people running for office in their town.”
