Wake County Board of Commissioners Candidate Forum - Public Welcome

The League of Women Voters of Wake County will host the Wake County Board of Commissioners Candidate Forum with NAACP Raleigh/Apex, NCAAT, El Pueblo and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Raleigh Alumnae Chapter. Candidates will answer questions of interest to local voters, helping to inform voters prior to casting their ballots. ABC 11's Michael Perchick will moderate. The Board of Commissioners is growing from seven to nine At-Large commissioners. The Forum will include three candidates for the two new At-Large positions: Christine Kushner, Mona Singh and Gary Dale Hartong. Voters will also hear from the candidates for District 2: Safiyah Jackson and John Adcock. While Districts 1, 3 and 7 are also on the ballot this year, candidates are all incumbents running uncontested. Voters can find their District at Vote411.org. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. Registration is recommended, but not required. Registrants will receive event reminders.
