Dear ~~first_name~~,

Greetings from LWV of Wake County. Happy Pride Month! We also celebrate Juneteenth on June 19th as recognition of emancipation and black liberation. These celebrations are a reminder that, as an organization dedicated to empowering voters and defending democracy, the League is committed to building a future of progress and equity for ALL.

The City of Raleigh is hosting several Juneteenth events. Check out the listing here. In addition, there are several Pride Month events listed here. Of course, this month is also a great time to visit the Pauli Murray Center in Durham.

Please Complete Your Ballot!
Annual meeting materials, including links to electronic ballots were mailed to every active LWV-Wake member on May 17th.

Have you completed and submitted your electronic ballot?

 Timely Topics 2025-2026 Planning Meeting

All Committee Co-Chairs, League Leaders, and interested League members are invited to register for the first planning meeting for the new year’s monthly Timely Topics sessions. The meeting will be in the League office Tuesday, July 15 10:00 a.m. - noon

Annette Green will be leading the charge for the year as TT Chair and asks that everyone register for the session. Bring ideas to the session for topics and speakers that would be of interest to League members and their guests.

Women's Equality Day 2025

Please join us in celebrating Women's Equality Day! This year's theme 'Stronger Than The Storm' was chosen in recognition of the challenges we face in our continuing fight for equality.

We are excited to announce this year's keynote speaker is Leoneda Inge, co-host of WUNC's program 'Due South'.  Ms. Inge is an award-winning journalist and we are delighted she has agreed to share her stories of resilience with us.

This event raises much needed support for our educational programs, voter outreach, and operating expenses. We invite you to become a sponsor at $150, $300, $500 or $1000 levels. To learn more about Leoneda Inge and to register, click on the link below.
