The League of Women Voters is a national grassroots organization, where individuals like you actively engage in creating positive change on the local, state, and national levels.  We believe that sensible, responsible civil discourse and action based on substance rather than partisanship is essential for civic improvement.  We believe that with leaders like you, we can make democracy work.

Please consider adding your voice to the over 150,000 League members across the country.  Become a member, serve as a leader in your community, and work to shape the important issues that keep our communities strong.

Membership in the League of Women Voters of Wake County entitles you to:

  • Membership in the LWV of North Carolina and the LWVUS
  • Receive our local newsletter, the VOTER
  • Participate in making democracy work
  • Work as part of an effective team to influence public policy through education and advocacy

Any citizen of voting age, male or female, may become a League member. Others may join as associate members. Dues are $55 for a single membership and $75 for a household membership (two people at the same address). Dues are not deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes.
